From the imagination of Bob Kane and Bill Finger, Batman was debuted in 1939 in Detective Comics #27. Bruce Wayne was still a child when he witnessed the murder of his parents in an alley in Gotham. Traumatized, he trains for years to sharpen his physical skills and his deductive spirit. A carefree and frivolous billionaire by day, he wears armour at night, reminiscent of a bat, stalking and frightening criminals throughout Gotham. His immense fortune gives him access to a large arsenal of gadgets which he uses to neutralize his opponents without ever killing them.
Among the many designers who gave life to the superhero, Neal Adams is one of the most remarkable. It was he who, in the 1970s, restored the character's adventures to the dark tone lost by the 1960s television series. With the screenwriter Dennis O'Neil, he laid the foundations for the version of the character that we know today.
This exclusive Micromania-Zing statuette pays tribute to Neal Adams' Batman in his most iconic pose as seen on the alternate cover for Batman #251. Add him to your collection today!
