A Classic Flight of Fancy
In the classic 1929 Mickey Mouse short Plane Crazy, Mickey attempts to emulate Charles Lindbergh and craft and fly his own plane. After one disastrous attempt, he tries again and invites Minnie to join him on the test flight, after she gifts him a lucky horseshoe. After giving the nearby Clarabelle Cow the fright of her life, Mickey uses his flying prowess to woo Minnie... with little success. While distracted he loses control of the plane again, crashing into a tree. Minnie parachutes to safety using her bloomers, to Mickey's amusement. When she storms away he hurls the lucky horseshoe at her, but it swings back around the tree and knocks him out cold.
