Someone has taken their love of scary movies one step too far. Solving this mystery is going to be murder.
A year after her mother's death, Sidney Prescott and her friends begin receiving strange phone calls. They soon discover that the calls are coming from a deranged serial killer wearing a white mask and a large black robe, seeking revenge. The killer typically asks a series of questions, with the main one being: "What's your favorite scary movie?" He also quizzes them on scary movie trivia before leaving behind grisly remains of innocent victims throughout the small town of Woodsboro.
