Viserion was one of three dragons belonging to Daenerys Targaryen, the first of her name, the Unburnt, Queen of Meereen, Queen of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons. Along with Drogon and Rhaegal, Viserion was named after a person in Daenerys' life, named after her older brother Viserys. Viserion was able to be distinguished by his cream and gold coloured scales, and red-orange scales.
After a fierce battle against the Night King, Viserion was fatally wounded and passed away. However, the Night King resurrected him and gained control over the great dragon. Under the Night King's command, Viserion would blast away the Wall with his now blue flame, allowing the Army of the Dead to enter the Seven Kingdoms.
